The Pyro Particle Editor, developed and sold by Fenomen Games, has a regular price tag of $99.99 (unless your company’s yearly income exceeds $250,000, in which case it costs $1,999.99). Now, Fenomen are giving it away free for your first title, or at least that’s what it says on the features list. I assume that means you can use the editor on one title for free, then have to pay the regular price to use it for subsequent titles.
Apparently, the underlying APU is flexible enough to be used with any engine or graphics API you might use. I’ve not checked this out yet, but it’s on my TODO list.
