Two bits of news regarding a couple of interesting indie games.
First up, Bog Turtle Games has released a strategy puzzler called Spuds (Synthetic Pattern-matching Universal Defenders). You control an army of little purple guys by defining their behavior through pattern matching. Part of the challenge is in finding a successful set of patterns for each scenario. There is a video at the site which demonstrates the game play.
Next, Silverlode Interactive has announced that their MMORTS, Saga, is in open beta. I’ve not tried it yet, but I might if I have the time. I’m not a big RTS fan, but the game play trailer looks incredible. Check it out:
