I picked up a copy of the Korea Times today at a subway station, something I rarely do anymore, and was intrigued by a front page headline hovering over a photo of Richard Garriott: NCSoft to Send American Employee to Space:
NCsoft, South Korea’s largest game company by revenue, said its American game director Richard Garriott may fly to the Internatioanl Space Station in the fall of 2008, only a few months after Ko San takes the exactly same flight to become the nation’s first astronaut.
The article goes on to say that NCSoft is contemplating using this as a promotion for Tabula Rasa. They also have reserved a seat for an Asian person in 2009. It seems that NCSoft founder and CEO Kim Taek-jin is considering filling that slot. This scores pretty high on the cool factor scale, methinks.

Not to mention that Lord British already is the coolest game maker ever
His games drained hours and hours from my life, that’s for sure!
